Your doctor doesn't care about your wearable data.
Half true.
They care about data that fits their decision framework. Raw app screenshots don't. Same HRV trend, formatted differently, changes the entire conversation. Most people never figure this out. I've spent years on both sides. As an internal medicine physician, I got the screenshots. As a clinical informaticist, I understood why they failed.
Here's what happens.
There's no translation layer. Doctors process clinical info through specific frameworks. Vital signs. Trends over time. Objective measurements tied to symptoms. Show up with a ring wearable screenshots and a red recovery score? You're asking the doctor to do work they were not trained for.
They don't know what algorithm created that score.
They don't know if it's validated.
They don't have 15 minutes to learn your app's interface.
So they dismiss it.
Not because wearables don't matter. You handed them noise instead of signal.
Here's the fix.
Translate your wearable data into clinical language before the appointment:
1) "My HRV dropped from 65 to 45 over three weeks while my resting heart rate went from 58 to 68."
Not: "My recovery score has been red."
2) "I'm averaging 5.5 hours of sleep with only 45 minutes of deep sleep per night."
Not: "My sleep score is bad."
3) "My resting heart rate spiked 15 beats higher than baseline three days after I started feeling fatigued."
Not: "My body battery is low."
Same data. Different format. One fits their decision framework. The other needs translation work they won't do. The gap isn't about medical education. It's communication structure. You have the data. You need to speak their language.
This is what I built The AI MD Rx to solve.
The translation layer between consumer tech and clinical conversations. Moving from app scores to biometric trends doctors work with. Preventative medicine works when both sides speak the same language.
